Patrick James is a young talented singer and songwriter from Sydney! You will love his acoustic stuff and the uplifting kind of music he writes. His latest music video was created by an old friend of us, Mr. Jarrad Seng, the video producer of many Passenger's music videos. You will see a few beautiful faces and the vintage suitcases will give you the feeling of an old movie. The lyrics hide that sweet but unsecured sense that someone has when he makes a new start. You can enjoy the beautiful music video here.
LOMW, 16/10/13, Hannah from Snow Ghosts replies to my Facebook message! “I’d love to have a long distance Q&A for LOMW, but maybe you should ask our label first!” And I did that. And we are here today!
LOMW: Welcome on LOMW, Snow Ghosts! Could you please introduce yourselves and tell us from where exactly are you answering this Q&A right now?
SG: Hello. Snow Ghosts is made up of Ross Tones, Hannah Cartwright, and (most our recent addition) Oli Knowles. Right now I am in a bar in Soho, London.
Junip is a Swedish sophisticated rock band. The most known is Jose Gonzalez and the other two are Tobias Winterkorn and Elias Araya. They were formed in 1998 but their debut self-titled album was released in 2010. Their song Line of Fire is one of my favorite because of the incredible lyrics and music. The smooth voice and the strong percussion gives that contrast which puts you into deep thoughts about your life right away. "The video(s) tell the story of a tormented old man, stuck in a relationship that perhaps was not his choice, or preference to begin with. We see fragments from childhood, the first awkward kiss, the father watching over him. Making sure he follows the right path. The old man, like all of us, a person programmed by the convictions and beliefs of others. In the case of the old man, the unconscious suddenly manifest itself when a young, jeans wearing character appears in their home, forcing him to question who he really is." The music video was directed by Mikel Cee Karlsson. Check out this awesome band and remember to like our page: facebook.com/lyricsonmywall
Playing For Change is a movement for finding the soul of music in the streets. It started back in 2002 witht the production of the documentary "A cinematic discovery of street Musicians". The main idea is various artists playing their instruments live from different places around the world. Most of the times they are playing covers from famous songs and some of those times you can see popular artists such as Bono and Sara Bereilles performing with them! Playing for Change is the definition of indie-culture. You can watch their latest performance of Guantanamera by 75 Cubans of diaspora. Here on Lyrics On My Wall. Remember to support the street artists, some of the best diamonds are hiding there!
